Elana Khyra is a Malaysia-based leadership coach helping people become more confident and authentic leaders. We created a brand around Elana herself, bringing her personality and holistic approach into an identity that feels both personal and professional.
Brand Strategy
Making it Personal
For a personal brand, it was important that Elana could see herself in the identity.
From the beginning, she had a clear visual world she was drawn to: stars, light, celestial imagery and the contrast between night and day. Rather than moving away from those references to make the brand feel more corporate, we found a way to bring them into a visual identity that still felt calm, confident and professional.
The yellow and blue palette became an expression of that contrast. Light and dark work together throughout the identity, reflecting the idea of finding clarity and moving towards a more confident version of yourself.
A Guiding Light
At the centre of the identity is a starburst made from two forms: a nine-pointed star and an 18-point sun. The nine-pointed star is a subtle and personal reference to Elana's Malaysian roots, inspired by her home state's place as the ninth state of Malaysia. The surrounding sun brings ideas of light, energy and radiance, coming together as a symbol of guidance, clarity and confidence.
Built Around Elana
While leadership coaching is where the brand begins, we didn't want it to define where Elana could take it next.
The identity was built around Elana Khyra as the main brand, with Leadership Coaching acting as a descriptor rather than becoming part of the core name. A separate personal logo was also created for projects and collaborations outside of coaching, giving the identity room to grow with her.
